The Novel Film Blogfest

The Novel Film Blogfest is here!!!! As hosted by Madeleine over at Scribble And Edit.

Here's what it's all about:

"There's a lot of novels, comics and plays that have been made into films and TV dramas,
BUT how many of them have you BOTH seen the film/TV drama and read the original book, play or comic story?"

When I first discovered this blogfest I could only think of about three off the top of my head. But now... well you'll find out. Due to the length of my list I have forgone descriptions and pictures... I'd be here forever.

So here is my list, in no specific order - the bits in brackets are when the title was changed for the film. And yes a couple of these are novelisations of films... slightly cheating but... who cares?

You have a wonderful list I have the dvd "PS I Love You" I read the book which I really enjoyed. I saw the author Cecilia Aherne during a Daniel O Donnell chat show in Dublin some years back, such a down to earth person.

I've seen a lot more of these on film than I've read, but you've entered a pretty comprehensive list.

Great list! And I'm smacking myself... how could I have forgotten about The Godfather? I liked the book, but loved the movie.

It's surprising how long the list can get when you really think about it, isn't it? Thanks for joining in the blogfest.

If you get a chance, check out a fellow writer's zombie story and help me make him wear an embarrassing shirt next year! It's the ultimate grudge match between social media and the zombies. Details are here:
