The Return Of Teaser Tuesday

I have been absent from Teaser Tuesday for three weeks (did you notice?). The first week (that being the week before the week before last week) I had a particularly bad hypo (I have insulin dependant diabetes for anyone new here) so I had no energy.

Then the second week (that being the week before last week - are you following this?) I completely forgot. It wasn't until I got in to bed that I remembered.

Then last week I didn't take part through sheer laziness - I have no excuse for last week.

But I'm back now.

So the rules of this meme are simple:

Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Then head over to Should Be Reading to add your link to the comments.

So here are my teasers for the week:

'If I hadn't been armed to the teeth, surrounded by murderous vampires, in view of way too many other cops, I'd have hugged Zerbrowski. "Thanks, Zerbrowski."'

Page 43, Kiss The Dead by Laurell K. Hamilton

This book counts towards the Horror & Urban Fantasy Reading Challenge hosted by Book Chick City.

I'm not sure yet whether this also counts towards the Zombie Reading Challenge 2012 which is also hosted by Book Chick City. The Anita Blake books usually have zombies in at some point. But I'm over one hundred pages in and no zombies so far.
