I am a very happy bunny right now. You may remember... or you may not... me posting a while a go now about a book from my childhood that I couldn't find.
It really stressed me out at the time. Then I forgot about it.
Then earlier today something reminded me of it so I decided to try one last time. I threw everything I could think of at Google.
And with the words 'children's adventure story "needle shaped mountain"' I was finally successful. So if you read my original post on this I can now tell you I am pretty sure that I was wrong about the robot... and the snow globe. But the mountain is definitely there.
The book that I have been searching for on my quest is:
And as soon as I saw the cover to the hardback edition I recognised it immediately!
Once you know what you are looking for it's amazing the information that you can find!

I used to love reading as a child ..not so much now but really ought to take in a book or two.

Sadly I've never read the book, it's such a shame I missed out. The author later had the idea for the very first Dalek!
I just finished that book. My library had a copy.
