It's Tuesday - Time For Intros & Teasers
To take part in Tuesday Intros simply share the first paragraph of the first chapter of the book you are reading or are going to read. Tuesday Intros is hosted by Bibliophile By The Sea.
To take part in Teaser Tuesday turn to a random page in the book you are reading, and share two teaser sentences from that page, without sharing spoilers. Teaser Tuesday is hosted by A Daily Rhythm.
Here's mine:
Tuesday Intro

The sight of golden daffodils in full flower beneath the spreading trees merely reminded her she was trapped, perhaps for ever. She turned away and was about to go upstairs again when she heard her mother on the phone.
Teaser Tuesday
The new ward was made ready and took its first twelve patients. 'Two gas gangrene cases, seven snipers' bullets in the head, and three blokes got too close to grenades,' intoned the RAMC orderly who'd come in with the men.

Sounds interesting. Guessing from the cover and teaser I'll say this takeThe teaser on my adult blog comes from Deceptions by Kelley Armstrong this week. Happy reading!s place during World War I.
Despite the gruesome teaser, I was very intrigued by it.
My teaser is HERE.
The lovely cover and intriguing title would make me open the book, and the beginning intrigues me. This sounds like a story I'd enjoy.
My Tuesday post features THE LAND OF MANGO SUNSETS.
Sounds emotional and sad....beautiful writing, though.
Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
What an intriguing opening and teaser! You've caught my interest. I am really drawn to books set in this time period.
Very graphic -- but sounds good.
From the cover this looks like a historical book. Such a lovely cover. I'd keep reading.
The intro didn't really catch my attention, but the teaser did. Sounds a bit like Downton Abbey. Girl Who Reads
