Fast Five Friday - Top TV Shows

Fast Five Friday is a weekly meme hosted by the Cover Girls. Basically each week there will be a subject for you to list 5 things... that's all there is to it. Once you've posted your list go and leave a comment on the Cover Girls FFF post for that week so other people can read yours.

This week's subject is: Five Top TV Shows

Now my favourite TV shows change from year to year, depending what is currently on. And it would take me forever to narrow down my all time favourites. So I'm going to give you my top five from right now. Keep in mind that I'm in the UK so some of these may be UK specific, way behind the US, or in a couple of cases only being shown as repeats at the moment.

  1. The Mysteries of Laura - Debra Messing is soooo funny in this
  2. The Great British Sewing Bee
  3. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - the original and best
  4. The Big Bang Theory - altogether now... "Our whole universe was in a hot dense state..."
  5. New Girl - Zooey Deschanel is also very funny

Random Quote #219

No one can construct for you the bridge upon which precisely you must cross the stream of life, no one but you yourself alone.

Fast Five Friday

On recent travels throughout the blogosphere I cam across a weekly meme I thought I'd start taking part in.

It's called Fast Five Friday and is hosted by the Cover Girls.

Basically each week there will be a subject for you to list 5 things... that's all there is to it. Once you've posted your list go and leave a comment on the Cover Girls FFF post for that week so other people can read yours.

So this week's topic is: 5 book characters you are crushing on.

Here are mine:

  • Malkolm (Mal for short) from the House of ComarrĂ© series by Kristen Painter. He's a vampire... nuff said :)
  • Nathaniel from the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton. He's a were-leopard. And I'm not sure whether it's him or his hair I have a crush on. Nathaniel has ankle length, auburn hair, that I would very much like to sit and braid :)
  • Ethan from the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton. Ethan is a were-tiger. I think he first appears in Hit List and I don't think he has been in the series that much but I liked Laurell's description of him.
  • Jack Reacher from the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. I'm not in anyway talking about the movie version of Jack Reacher. No, I'm talking about the 6' 5", 200-250lb (all muscle I might add), Jack Reacher.
  • Augustine (Augie for short) from the Crescent City series by Kristen Painter. I think he is shadow fae... as far as I remember... or am I thinking of another fae that Kristen has written about? Well he is some form of fae.
That's all for this week's Fast Five Friday - check out the link at the top of this post to see some more book cruches :)

Intros & Teasers

To take part in Tuesday Intros simply share the first paragraph of the first chapter of the book you are reading or are going to read. Tuesday Intros is hosted by Bibliophile By The Sea.

To take part in Teaser Tuesday turn to a random page in the book you are reading, and share two teaser sentences from that page, without sharing spoilers. Teaser Tuesday is hosted by Should Be Reading.

Here's mine this week:

Tuesday Intro

Can I make one thing clear - no matter what you've heard, and I'm sure you've heard plenty - I'm not a full-blown Karma-Denier. It might exist, it might not, like how on earth would I know? All I'm doing is giving my version of events.

Teaser Tuesday

It's a curse being Dad's 'clever' child. He reads books the way other people take cold showers - they're good for you, but you're not expected to enjoy them.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.
